Sea Lions everywhere The comically elegant Brown Pelican
In Galapagos, BBC filmed the hatching of marine iguanas and by chance caught on film the first time, snakes hunting together en masse. Really, check out this video, it’s an amazing piece of cinematography. There are more videos of our sights in Galapagos at the same YouTube channel above 🙂

Isabela Island if choc-full of life. The blue footed boobies males dance and show off their sticks that they intend to use to build a nest.
San Cristobal has some of the best dive sites and beaches. Check out this short video of the marine iguana, and the highlight, a whale shark, perhaps pregnant as this is where it is believed that whale sharks give birth (see more in this article in The Guardian)
The UN High Seas Treaty came into force Jan 17 2026 – we can have 30% of Oceans a marine park and have a well-regulated global fisheries. Lobby your government if they have not yet ratified it. Looking at you Canada!
