Tongareva, also known as Penrhyn, in the Cook Islands was our first stop after leaving Bora Bora. It is a remote atoll with a small population of amazing Cook Islanders. We stayed a month and were both pretty teary when we left. We were taken in like family – their island motto is “We love you so much”.

Just before we arrived, Tom Robinson, who was rowing across the Pacific, had just departed Tongareva. You can read his blogpost about the island here.
